TIME TO SMILE...

Slamet was a smart and dilligent boy.His father,Mr.Tiarun, has been working as a mechanic.He is a hard worker.His mother passed away when he was seven years old.Both Slamet and his father lived under poverty

Yes,Slamet was smart as well as dilligent.He used to go to school on foot.It took him 3 kms away from his house to the school.He did it everyday. On the other side,his friends went to school by their bicycles.Sometimes any of them offered him a ride and he was very happy and always said to his friend " thanks !".Some others were taken to school by their parents in vans

One day it occured to him that he wanted to have a bicycle to call his own to go to school.But he knew that his father would never comply with what he asked for.

One day his father was on the go.He got a lot of motorbikes that needed repairing. It could mean he would earn a lot so that Slamet encouraged himself to tell him that he wanted him to buy him a bicycle.But he said "No way!"

Meanwhile Mr.Tiarun wished he had been able to afford a nice motorbike,the make of which is TIGER,made in Japan.He said "If I have a lot of money,I will buy that kind of motorbike".Hearing this Slamet was disappointed.

The years passed by and now Slamet was 19 years old and completed his senior high school.

One day unseriously he tried to join an entry test to study to become a doctor.He said to himself,"Oh,Lord,if I pass this exam,I don't think I will be able to study in this field for I know it will cost me too much,I am just a poor boy".

A few weeks later there was an announcement for those who passed the test.And one of those qualified was him.

Hearing this Slamet then jumped and screamed "Hurray !".But then again no, he was gloome, weakly walking his steps slowly to a stone and then sat on it while his eyes were staring at nothing.He knew that it would be impossible for him to study.

And next he saw his father repairing a motorbike. Without looking at Slamet he said "What more are you gonna ask for?".Slamet then said "I won't ask anything but let you know that sometime ago I joined an entry test to study to be a doctor and I passed the test".Hearing this his father stopped repairing the bike then said to Slamet "Come here!".Slamet came to him.Then his father said " Son,I know that I have never met what you asked and I am sorry.I bet you think I am not a good father.But now I must meet what you want.You can study".He then stood and walked to his room to take something.It was a bank account book to show to Slamet and said "Since your mother died I have saved the money I earned for your future .That is the reason why I have never complied with what you asked for but now you can have it for your study".Hearing this Slamet could not stand his tears then he hugged his father and whispered him "Thank you,I love you".

As the story goes,life then treated the family so kind.Slamet managed to be a succesful doctor and he has bought his father a motorbike he once wished for.Now people call him DOCTOR SLAMET.
