# " CAROK " # # it is a tradition of Madurese people. It is an ethnic that inhabits Madura island , north of East Java but it belongs to East Java trritory. Many Madurese people live in the eastern part of Java They have a tradition called " Carok ". It is a face to face fight between two men using weapons that resemble sickles.They fight till either dies. Carok will happen when you flirt with a Madurese man's wife or you have a love affair with his wife. He will surely dare you to fight no matter whether he will win or not but he just shows that what you do to his wife is something that gives him a sense that you don't behave yourself and this means you steal his respet and dignity.
